How to Reach Out

The hardest step is the first call. Here's how to make it.

  1. Choose a channel. Phone, chat or text — whatever feels easiest. You can stay anonymous.
  2. Keep it simple. "I think I have a problem with gambling" is enough to start.
  3. Be honest about the numbers. An adviser can help more when they see the real picture.
  4. Ask about next steps. Counselling, groups, self-exclusion, money advice.
  5. Tell one person you trust. Support nearby makes a real difference.

What to expect

A call usually takes 10–30 minutes. Nobody will tell you what to do — they'll help you work out what fits you and point you to local services.
